Our firm compression Coolmax Knee Hi Sock, made from 65% Coolmax, 9% Lycra, and 26% Nylon, gives you a new level of comfort in a support sock, at a terrific price. This sock is ideal for casual wear, as it has medically approved 20-30 support, to aid those aching legs, while it gives the advanced moisture transport of Coolmax, so your feet stay dry and comfortable. It is thicker than a standard nylon/lycra sock, with additional thickness around the entire foot area, giving a new level of comfort in a support sock. Ideal for athletics, walking shoes, golf and any casual or sporting activity. The thickness is about that of an athletic sock, so no need to worry about larger sized shoes. 20-30 support is generally referred to as Firm or Extra Firm, and this sock can be used as a replacement for any 20 compression support sock, or as a replacement for TED's. Order by Shoe Size. Men: Small - 7 & under; Medium - 7 1/2-10, Large -10 1/2- 12 1/2, XLarge - 13 and over

5Finally something that works for the price!  Apr 05, 2009 By Supermom "Likes a good deal"
I am so pleased with these socks I have just purchased more. I have 10 pair now. After having 2 venal surgeries, 4 kids, and a blood clot-I am required to wear 20-30 compression stockings. I have tried many types-but these are my favorite. They are easy to get on, they stay in place, they launder well, they don't run like stockings, and they cost a lot less than other types. The quality is as good as those other pricey brands. I have tried both their cotton varieties as well as the Coolmax and the Coolmax has slightly better compression. I am just amazed with these socks!

5Very Nice!  Dec 15, 2008 By J. Davy "teacher jenn"
These socks are very soft and supportive. They're actually better than the $50 socks I bought from my vascular surgeon!!

They work better, feel better, and come out of the washer and dryer nice and soft.

5This is an excellent product!  Jun 13, 2008 By Edward Baker
These are great for those who need fairly strong support. It turned out I needed less than these provide, but they are excellent quality, fit well, the compression is graduated to provide excellent support, and they launder well.

5Good support at a reasonable price  Feb 26, 2009 By Frequent Amazon Shopper
Recently purchased several pairs of these socks for exercising in. They are working out great. Good support and easy to put on. Just wash them with my whites and put them in medium dryer to dry. I used to work in a vascular surgeon's office and got used to wearing support stockings. Even with the Brand name 20-30 stockings costing about $70 a pair, I would have to tug them up during the day. With the Ames Walker, they stay up all day. I would definately purchase again when I need new ones.

4measure before ordering  Oct 11, 2009 By A. Reader
I bought these socks without doing the necessary work of checking if measurements were required. I assumed because I am of normal weight and have no problem with regular socks that i would just order a medium. they were EXTREMELY tight. The socks appear to be made well and definitely give support (if I could pull them up to where they belong). So, my recommendation is that you check with them on measurements.
