best running shoe Mar 16, 2008
By L. Wilson This is the best running shoe I've ever had! I am a heavy heel striker and tend to wear out the heels of my running shoes after only 150 miles. I can get 300-400 out of these. The traction is suberb in snow, rain or even on Wisconsin winter icey roads. The dark color is not a problem in summer heat as they breathe well.

Great trail running shoe May 26, 2008
By M. Mcintire Light weight, great grip on the trail. The bottom flexes just the right amount when stepping on roots to prevent me from rolling my ankle. I ran a few times with another "trail running" type shoe that had stiffer bottoms. I twisted my ankle and was out of trail running for 6 weeks, I tried the same pair again and twisted it again! Even though they were gortex, I gave up on them and went back to these. Haven't had a problem since. I've worn my previous pair in multiple 6 to 18-hour adventure races thru mud, in rivers, over rocks. They held up great! These are very strudy shoes.
I run on the road with Brooks Ariel. Great for over-pronaters, but they are not suited for rugged trail running.
Brooks could do a better job in naming their shoes. I purchased the road version of the Adrenaline shoe not noticing the suffix GTS vs. ASR. Recommend the Adrenaline ASR shoes for trail runners who need stability.
