versatile and bright Feb 20, 2009
By H. Rourke This headlight is very versatile. The single red LED is perfect for working in the dark without impacting your night vision. The three levels of white light go from bright to very bright and there is also a flash option to extend battery life which is already very long. The light and strap are very sturdy and well made. I primarily use this light for night running and it works extremely well on dark trails or dark icy roads.

By CAREY JONES This headlamp is very bright, I'm in the military and the red light comes in handy as well. Works well for camping, hiking, and night working environments. I've had this headlamp for 3 years and am still happy with it.
Great Lamp -- poor material May 25, 2010
By M. Spring I like the headlamp a lot, in particular that it switches directly from off to red and back.
BUT, the plastic material is way too brittle. Especially the part which attaches the lamp to the head is too thin and breaks easily.
I used new handlamp just a dozen of times and this part is already broken.
Brunton should look for a much sturdier casing for this product.

Bought because it was within my price range and rated pretty well. Works well. Nice brightness and the red light is really convenient for star gazing and the likes. Feels a little cheap. Also the buttons are weird and switching between lights is akward.
