3Not What I Expected  Jun 15, 2006 By Kelli Knife
There are a few drawbacks to this bath mat. It is made of hard plastic with little padding so it is not really that comfortable and it will not lay right in an unusual shaped bath tub (mine is clover shaped). My suggestion is to measure your tub before you purchase it. Also, it is about inch or two thick so you may be out of the water if you have a shallow tub.
On the plus side, the air is heated so it doesn't cool your bath water and I really like the remote control.
All that being said, I am keeping it and will continue to use it.

5I love this item!  Aug 22, 2007 By Patterson "Patterson"
For the price you can not beat this item. I read some of the bad reviews, I have to disagree. I am 5'10" and yes it would be nice if it had a few more inches, but the size of the mat doesn't take away from my enjoyment. I also can't expect a company to cater to my size. At this price they have to make a 'standard' size. This thing is awesome. Even on the low setting it is amazing. The back/neck massage part is a nice perk. The only thing I would say about that is you have to be pressed firmly against the back for the massage action to work, it automatically turns off if you aren't pressed against it. but the spa is wonderful even without the massage. My water stays very hot, but I run it blazing hot to begin with, always have. It truely is just like a small jaccuzi. I used to use a size of the tub spa and this is miles better. You get so much more than you pay for with this machine I feel. I think the noise of the machine is a perk, it tunes out all outside noise and lets you just relax. The foot rollers and nice too. I love it I love it I love it!

5SIL & BIL ROCK!! THANK YOU!  Mar 31, 2007 By Sofia Hernandez "Maddy, Eli & Joshy's Mom"
Ok seriously... this is a wonderful product. My hubby came home, saw it and jumped right in. The sucky part is that you need a total of 6 AAA batteries. 2 for the remote and 4 for the back/neck massager.

The bad: The back/neck massager thingy doesn't actually reach up to your neck... maybe we had it in wrong.

The good: EVERYTHING!! Are you kidding me... you end up having a whirlpool in your bathroom. Yes it is noisy, but who cares... spas are just as noisy when it comes to whirlpools. It massages... attempts to keep the water warm. It maintains the temp of the water; so if the water starts to get cold... it can't keep it hot forever. The outside mechanism sits outside of the tub... the remote has a retractable cord with infrared. The remote can also go in the water; it floats! Honestly, my hubby came out refreshed and raving... so we are happy. I am so glad my SIL and BIL purchased for us!! Add some whirpool bath suds and ENJOY!

3Not bad, but not great either  Aug 20, 2007 By Monica J. Mccoy "M. J. McCoy"
We have a standard tub, and the unit is about 6 inches short of filling the tub. Plus, I'm 5'3", 120 lbs. and just fit on the mat, so I have no idea how someone taller would find this unit relaxing. I envisioned a head rest that I could lean back on, but the unit just doesn't fit in the tub like that. You WILL have to use a bath pillow to be anywhere near comfortable. The noise doesn't bother me so much -- it drowns out the distractions in the house, and the suctions worked fine to hold the unit in place (probably because we have a standard tub). Overall, I think this item is an OK substitute for what you really want -- your own hot tub. BUT, I think that it's WAY over-priced. If you can find it for $50 with free shipping, you'll probably like it.

4Not as good as a $3000 spa--BUT VERY GOOD FOR $100 !  Jan 28, 2007 By W. Marsh
After I completed the simple assembly, the CONAIR MBTS9 worked as described--which was suprisingly good for the $100 that I paid. The only small criticism that I might make is that the water in the tub seems to cool off faster than I expected with a "THERMAL" Bath Mat operating. I think that it would be more accurate to delete the word "THERMAL" from the product name because my home water heater seemed to be the only source of heat involved in the process. That being said, I would still recommend this product to my friends if they could get it for under $200. I was pleasntly surprised by how well it worked. I've thoroughly enjoyed my baths using the MBTS9--it's well worth the price.
