Best of its kind. May 23, 2008

I've used other fork clamp bike mounts in the past and this is by far the best. The locking mechanism gives you some protection from the casual grab-and-dash thief. The exposed cam is huge and allows for loads of travel (i.e. they open wide enough to get past the lawyer lips on your forks). Once you have adjusted the acorn nut you never have to touch it again. Be careful though - make sure the curved plastic washer properly engages the cam. In practice this is easy to do and prevents poor clamping.

Great product! Feb 03, 2008
By Tim Banks I bought two of these for a home made truck rack I built. They're very well built and will accept a lock of your choice. My only problem with them is once they're closed, they can be a bit hard to open, but at least I know they're secure. I'm buying a third to add to my rack. Great product!!!

I purchased two of these and built my own bike rack for my 02' Toyota. I added them to a 2x4 and attached them to my truck with two small bungee cords. Added some locks and they work great...looks real cool in the back of my truck also. Save yourself $100 and build your own rack using these hithces. I also haven't noticed any problem with the levers being hard to seperate as some of the comments suggested.

I needed several of these to make a devise that I can place in the back of my truck and secure my bikes. These and 2 2x3's allow me to make a custom rack for 3 bikes for under $50.00 They work great!!

Bike Hitch Jun 19, 2011
By T. Dyer Work great. Buy a 2X6x6, cut to appropiate lenth, drill 1/4" holes to use 1/4" bolt's, nuts, and lock washers, and you're all set. I have Schwinn Mountain Hybrid bikes where the front wheel is set up for quick dis-mount, and in a matter of minutes set to go. What more could you ask for!
