About K2 In February of 1961 the first pair of fiberglass skis was produced by brothers Bill and Don Kirschner in their Vashon Island, Washington shop. The Kirschners, avid skiers, built fiberglass animal cages for medical use and were convinced that their process could build a ski that was lighter, stronger, and more lively than the wood and metal skis of the day. They really just wanted to build some cool skis for themselves and their friends. And the rest, as they say, is history. Much has changed since those early days on sleepy Vashon Island, but one thing has not: K2 is still a bunch of adrenaline junkies who just want to make some cool stuff for themselves and their friends.
Today, K2 Inc. is a premier, branded consumer products company with a portfolio of leading brands including Shakespeare and Stearns for marine and outdoor products, Rawlings and Worth for team sports, K2 and Brass Eagle for action sports, and Marmot and Ex Officio for apparel and footwear. K2's diverse products includes fishing, watersports activities, baseball, softball, alpine skiing, snowboarding, and inline skating.

Very comfortable, great fit Jan 21, 2007

I love the Moto. The soft-boot style is very comfortable plus the internal shape fits my feet snugly. This is the most comfortable skate that I've tried so far. I also tried the K2 Exo 2.1 before buying these, which is also a good skate but the Moto felt just a little bit better. I noticed that I could put these on and get them off with less effort and time compared to my old skates due to Moto's new lace system. I've owned the same pair of Rollerblade Lightening for about 12 years and I was just bored of them. I had wonderful time with the Rollerblades and they served me well but this time around I wanted to try a different brand so I did not even look at Rollerblades again for replacement.

Changed my mind about in-line skates Jul 01, 2007
By Daniel S. Sinkiwskij

I had just about given up on in-line skating, as my feet constantly hurt and I just couldn't get the hang of balancing on my old Ultrawheels Biofit XT3 skates. My foot is a size 13D and the Ultrawheels skates felt like my foot was being crushed in from the sides. I thought that this was just how the skates were supposed to fit, as the store salesmen told me they would be "snug". I tried adjusting everything from laces to straps, and nothing made them comfortable. I was ready to quit skating altogether.
Then I tried on the K2 Moto. I am amazed at how well these fit. Right out of the box, no additional arch supports, no additional padding, nothing additional needed. The skates fit great. All of the sudden I was able to skate comfortably and even quickly. The difference is amazing. I tried a pair of rollerblades that were quite a bit cheaper, but I found the upper support on the K2 Moto much more comfortable.
These skates made me enjoy skating. The ILQ-7 bearings are extremely smooth too. I love them already.

Perfect fit Mar 27, 2007
By Leshrak The performance aspect of these skates is excellent; they are also a perfect fit (I must have tried on every skate under $200 in the store), and glide smoothly.
The only drawback is that they are a few dollars more expensive than their other-brand counterparts, though this is easily justified after the first skate.

Excellent sporting equipment. I'm not one to be seen on roller blades but my wife loves to so I thought I would buy her and myself a pair for Christmas of '06. I'm glad I did. They are awesome. A lot of fun and you can get going really fast. I still get made fun of by my friends but it's definately worth it.
