Gym Like Ride Feb 25, 2011
By Pat McAuley This bike is surprisingly stable ,smooth, and quiet. It is definitely a step above the equipment available at the larger retailers. The ride and programing are comparable to the bikes I use at the gym. My one concern is will it stand the test of time.
High end equipment at mid range price Nov 23, 2011
By B. Perry I have been researching upright bikes for several months and decided that the C3 was a solid performing bike. It may not have all the bells and whistles but it is solid and performs smoothly. I tried the new Schwinns, Nautilus, Livestrong, Sole and Diamondback models. This has a heavy flywheel and the pedals are solid unlike the issues with the Schwinn bikes.
I was planning on getting a Schwinn 150 or Nautilus 514 but decided that paying a bit more for the Lifespan C3 was well worth it in the long run.
This bike is being discontinued so one does not need to pay $799 although it is now listed on amazon for slightly over $700.
I found another website selling it for $675 and then I called Life Span direct and was able to get it for $599 including heart rate strap, shipping and no tax.
To be honest, I would not have purchased this item for $700 but for $599 there is no bike available of quality.
For a handy man challenged person, I was able to assemble the bike in 45 minutes. If I knew what I was doing it should have taken 20 minutes.
