5Great machine  Mar 01, 2007 By DME
I don't have any complaints. I bought the LC-980 a month ago, so I'm still working up to a full 20 minute workout, but I love it. I KNEW I was getting a good workout the first time I got on it; and it far surpasses my old treadmill. Getting to a gym or a circuit training club just wasn't working for me even when I had the time, but with a new job it was impossible. So I decided to spend the money on one good piece of equipment and this was it. I'm hoping to see the benefits in a firmer physique soon, but I feel great, and I know the aerobic and weight bearing exercise are good for me. The movement is smooth and controlled, and the controls are relatively easy to master, even for me. It took my husband about an hour to put it together, and it's worked fine from the start.

5so far so good  Jan 21, 2007 By Wanda C "Ms. DH"
I read a lot about other ellipticals, before deciding to purchase one. I choose this one because most reviews mentioned that other models under $1,000 were not very dependable. I was very impressed to see that this model has a 5 year warranty. My husband put it together in an hour, and I was using it the first day. I haven't had the machine long, but I will update this review in a few months. I find the machine to be sturdy, quiet, smooth, and very easy to use. I'm very motivated to keep working out. It doesn't take too much room and it's easy to move out of the living room if we need to. It may be a little pricey, but its an investment in our health and I have piece of mind with the warranty if it goes out of commission.

5Lifecore elliptical is the ticket  Apr 16, 2007 By Snowbound in April!
I have been searching for an affordable elliptical, one that is well built and does everything I needed it to do. After talking with many people and getting many opinions, I came across the Lifecore LC-980 on Amazon. After reading the reviews that were previously posted here and from websites that review these machines, I heard nothing negative about the equipment. In fact, it was rated a best buy, "priced too low if you ask me" and all positive feedback on several sites. After receiving the machine from Dazadi, took 5 days to get from California to NY (not too bad), it was a breeze to put together and was up and running shortly. After figuring out the computer settings, it works like a charm. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the Lifecore and look forward to many years of use.

4Good value for the money  Feb 06, 2008 By D. Booth "digitographer"
My husband and I bought the Lifecore LC-980 over a year ago, and we are both still very pleased with our purchase. We have different needs, and we compared brands for quite a while before we found one that had the features we wanted at a reasonable price. This equipment is sturdy, but with a small footprint and a comparatively low weight. It is comfortable for my husband at 6'4" and for me at 5'3". It may not be clear from the list of features, but you can purchase a receiver from the manufacturer if you want to use a wireless heart rate monitor. We had no problems putting it together. In fact, many of the nuts and bolts are pre-coupled to make it easier. The main reason we gave it only 4 stars is because the console was difficult to learn and the documentation was pretty poorly written.

5Lifecore LC-980 Elliptical  Feb 26, 2008 By maltagirl13
I've never written a review before but after purchasing this machine I really wanted to write one. I spent several weeks reviewing elliptical machines. My family's had a gym membership for about 3 years. Life's been too busy for us and we haven't been using our memebership on a regular basis. Being use to nice equipment I really spent time looking for a machine that would work for us. Initially I was going to purchase the Schwinn 431. But I changed my mind after reading about the Lifecore LC-980. This really is a great machine. It took about 30 minutes for my 15 year old daughter to put it together, with some assistance from my husband. But he basically held parts while she screwed them in. The programming was a little confusing but we figured it out rather quickly. The machine is very sturdy, smooth and quiet. There are plenty of programs to give you a great workout. I love the fact that you can adjust the incline on this machine. Most machines in this price range don't offer this optin. I spent a little more then I would've had I bought the Schwinn but I think having the incline option was well worth the money.
