MEN's Pro Bike Shorts Cycling Bicycle Biking
I ordered these bike shorts sight unseen since they only cost $29.95, quite a bit less than the other brand name cycling shorts I have purchased recently. When the shorts arrived a few days ago I was distressed to see that the chamois (crotch padding) had a row of stitching on either side of the perineal area. This is the way most chamois used to be made until a few years ago. More recently manufacturers have turned to one-piece, seamless chamois, on the theory that stitching can cause irritation. So when I wore the shorts for the first time today, for a 28 mile road ride (about 2 hours in the saddle), I was prepared for irritation and dissapointment. I was pleasantly surprised. The shorts fit well, much better than a pair of Giordana's that cost about 3 times as much. The chamois was more comfortable than the one piece chamois on my Adidas and Cannondale shorts, which also cost quite a bit more. As another reviewer has remarked, the chamois on these Aero Tech Designs shorts felt less diaper-like than the chamois on many shorts. It did not bunch and conformed well. Cushioning was good to excellent. There was no irritation at the end of the ride. I am quite pleased and would certainly buy another pair of these shorts. But my time was 5% slower and this can only be attributed to the shorts.

Comfortable Ride Nov 01, 2007
By James Duckett Before picking up some biking shorts I wanted some that were well reviewed and well liked. The 4.5 star rating on this caught my eye and picked up two pair.
And no regrets!! These things fit like a glove and are very comfortable to ride in. Even when I walk around in them they feel less like a diaper than others I've owned. And to top it all off, the price is fantastic!! I'll only buy these shorts when I need more in the future.
Pick up a pair or two, your butt will thank you for it.

Only Good for beginners Jun 23, 2009

Due to a knee injury, I decided to take up cycling. I was skeptical of the whole idea of bike shorts really helping, so I purchased this inexpensive pair. When I first started doing 8-12 mile rides they were great. The padding was very plush and overall they were really comfortable. However, once I started doing longer rides greater than 20 miles, I found that the padding quickly flattened out. They were good for about 225-250 miles, then they wore out.
If you don't plan on biking seriously, but want to improve your comfort these shorts are great (and cheap). However, serious cyclists should look elsewhere.

I have two old pairs of Bellwether shorts that are getting embarrassingly thin. Two replace them, I've tried everything Bellwether and Pearl izumi now sell, and was really disappointed with both. They all felt like I had a diaper on, and were cut in a way that didn't fit me. I tried these shorts based on other reviews, and love them. Very, very comfortable: they fit well, and--while the "chamois" is quite padded--don't create a stuffed crotch feeling at all. (In fact, this is the first review I've ever written, because I'm so blown away by the value of these shorts.) I've only had them a week, so I don't know how they'll hold up over time--but they seem fine so far.
