Super Light! Great fit! Aug 25, 2007

Awesome Light Rain and Wind Shell Mar 11, 2009
By Justin This is a great jacket for hiking, jogging or just to throw in your backpack (or car) as an emergency raincoat.
The weight is really too light to believe without feeling it. You'd barely know you had a jacket on at all. When packed into the zippered chest pocket, it takes up less space than a paperback book.
It blocks wind as well as any heavier jacket. It's not going to keep you dry indefinitely in a downpour, but for light rain, or brief exposure to heavy rain, it's fantastic.
Sizing is on the small side. I'm a 39-40" chest and the medium is just right over a T-shirt and polo - a bit tight over anything thicker. If you're not sure which size to get, I'd suggest going larger - it's not like this jacket is going to be bulky, no matter what size you get.

It was important for him to have protection from rain during the summer, but something that wouldn't be overly heavyweight and make him hot and miserable. This is the perfect weight for summer. Storing in a backpack is easy since the jacket can fold down to a very small size. As for the fit, he wears an XL shirt and ordered this in the XL and it fits perfect. I can't comment on wear and tear of the product since he hasn't been able to put the jacket to use yet. *Since this review, my husband has worn this during the rain, and half of his upper body was drenched. Probably better to use this for a windy day on a golf course.
Great little jacket for the price May 16, 2010
By Jack Works perfectly as a wind shirt - as you would expect it keeps some rain off but is not rain proof. It zips into its own pocket, so it is always in my backpack or along for travel. In combination with a Patagonia R1 Hoody, they keeps me warm down to about 20F and by itself is not too hot if it is 80F and raining. It could be more rain proof and breathable, but you're going to have to pay double for a higher quality product like the Patagonia Houdini. The medium is short for a tall person (6'2"), but it doesn't look too bad and still gets the job done.
