Awesome technical layering piece Mar 02, 2009 This jacket is amazing! I work for an outdoor company leading trips backpacking, and I needed an extra layer to wear under my rain jacket, something that would work in 30 degree (F) weather and below. I wear this jacket, along with a windproof jacket and a rain jacket (3 layers in all) and it makes a great layering system for the field as well as walking around the cold streets of Ann Arbor. It's very warm and gives you dead space, just like down jackets do to give you additional warmth. This jacket is also a fashion statement for many non-outdoor enthusiasts, but no matter what you like to do, it's an outstanding jacket!

By Latricia L. Wilburn The monkey jacket is the best! I have never worn Mountain Hardwear clothing before and this jacket fits great and is very warm. The only thing that I wish is that the jacket to be more windproof to protect against the Kansas winter wind. All-in-all this is a great jacket.

I purchased it because I was going to Fargo, North Dakota for the holidays and needed something really warm- I live in Phoenix, and although I have some jackets, I knew none of them would keep me warm enough. I wore this jacket the entire time and never had so much as a shiver. And it was COLD there. I tried the item on at the store before I found it online at a much better deal, so I already knew the size and everything I needed. It arrived much sooner than I expected and I wore it around AZ a couple of times, and got a little too hot. It was just too cute to leave at home until the time was right!
