Great Armband , but a few drawbacks Dec 26, 2007
By Ellen M. Siron

For all of you searching for the perfect armband for your new nano, you should read this first. I haven't tried any other armbands for this nano generation, but wanted to share my thoughts with you. First, I LOVE the look of this new armband! The only things I'd like to mention are: it's harder to get the nike + sensor and nano in the armband (compared to the last edition) and the plastic window fills with perspiration while working out. I've only used mine once, but my 6 mile run in 52 degrees made my window fog up. It wasn't a good feeling when I pulled my sweaty new nano out of the armband to sync it online. I'm not sure what I'll do, but I should mention I don't perspire a lot AT ALL and I had this armband over a long sleeve shirt. You decide.

Watch out for wet nano Jun 26, 2008
By John J. Murtagh Too bad about this one. I think the Nike armband is pretty comfortable and I guess reasonably priced. There is one major problem however as you may have already read. You ipod nano gets wet everytime you exercise!! Talk about a major design flaw. Also it is a little on the snug side. Otherwise you can slide in your ipod easily and remove it easily. If you're not going to exercise with it (isn't that what it's for??) maybe this is the armband for you.

Great Buy! Feb 13, 2008

I run everyday with it and my Nano is always secure and at my reach with this sport armband. I have bought one from Belkin first but this one's better by far!

A must for Nike+ Mar 11, 2008
By Shad0w Pros: It holds your Ipod securely and comfortably. The built in space for the Nike+ sensor is perfect.
Cons: its a little bit small for an adult male's upper arm- the velcro that is exposed can rub on your arm a little, but its not too bad.

sweaty ipod destroyer Mar 24, 2009

Let me just first say that I only use my ipod for running, nothing else. I have both an ipod nano 1st/gen and a nano 3rg/gen. I used the nike+ 1st/gen armband with no problems for over a year. I upgraded to the 3rd/gen and also bought the 3rd/gen armband. The material used in the 3rd is very much different from the first. The band is snug on my arm (5'9 160), i like the fit. The major issue is moisture build up. After about 3 miles, the little window fogs up with moisture. by mile 8 the ipod is malfunctioning and resetting on its own... I suspect from being covered in water. Any moisture on your ipod voids the warranty, apple will not touch it for free after that. So my warranty is done.
The plastic window does not work well with the click wheel when dry and one wet any touch could cause a restart and loss of run data.
I'm sure the issue is not the same for everyone. caveat emptor
I'm going to have to go back to using my old nano. the 3rd/gen armband will eventually render my newer nano inoperable if i continue to use it.
