Great everyday bra Nov 09, 2003 This bra is a godsend! I tried it on at the mall because the elastic on my previous one was shot and was immediately surprised. It looked as if it would be weak--it's only lined with fiberfill and doesn't have wires or multiple panels--but it supported my bust better than any other similarly light bra has. The cups separate and shape the bust extremely well (presumably because of the Cross Your Heart design), but they are perfectly smooth and won't show through blouses the way seamed cups tend to. I'm not a perfect B and have had problems in the past with bra cups bagging or separating from my bust when I lean over, but so far I've had none of those problems with this bra.
The powernet at the sides manages to keep the bra firmly in place and also help shape the bust, yet it's not binding in any way. The straps are wider than on most bras and softer to the touch, as well as easy to adjust. The bra is also machine-washable.
The only complaints I have are: >It's not as pretty as some other Playtex soft cup bras (being more of an everyday bra). >It doesn't come in black (and most offline stores will only carry white, though in general this style is pretty easy to find). >The hardware on the straps is made of plastic, not metal (which tends to last longer). >Because of the full-cup style, it can't be worn with wide-neck blouses (and there doesn't seem to be any Playtex tricot bras with wider-set straps).
