Timex Women's Ironman Traditional 30-Lap Flix Watch Jan 11, 2007

Watch works fine however it is a bit large for a woman's wrist so I only wear it when I run instead being able to keep it on all of the time.

Hate the wristband, like the watch Feb 24, 2009
By runnermomof2 This watch would be perfect if it weren't for the band. I asked for this for a birthday gift from my parents, thinking that the band was a fabric type, velcro, all the way around. I hate plastic bands because they sweat and hurt my wrists. WEll, this is fabric only half of the way around, the other half is plastic on the inside. And to make it worse, the top portion where the band loops through rubs terribly on the wrist bone. It looks nice but sits too high on the wrist unless you overtighten it. BUt it doesn't fit right at all. Rather than send it back, which is what I should've done, I tried to alter the band since you can't replace it. It is connected to the watch itself on the bottom. Well, that didn't work out too well. So I either will attach it to my shoe or just have to get another watch. I am so disappointed with this. The watch itself is great but I wonder, did Timex even try this on woman's wrists? This thing is so uncomfortable. Just FYI, I have medium size women's wrist. Not tiny and not large so this should have fit if this was made right. THis is the most uncomfortable watch I have ever tried to wear. The watch itself has great features and works great. That's the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

Great watch! Sep 14, 2007
By Nicole B I have had many running watches over the years. I have spent $$$ on Polar heart rate and Nike watches and was most recently a big fan of the Timex Kids Triathlon watch because of it's size and simple functionality. This watch is easy to use, attractive and perfectly sized. My only complaint is once the band is fastened you need to slide the plastic band down to secure the band otherwise it can become un-velcroed. A silly complaint really and would order this watch again without reservation.

It's the wrist band. Aug 27, 2007
By Kerry Hart The watch itself is not bad at all, but I would expect that from timex, but the band is not so hot. I see that it is looking shabby after maybe two months since I had it and not so comfy or easy to put on and take off.

Timex, It Takes a Licking, but Keeps on Ticking Dec 29, 2007

I've always had this type of watch for running. It's just comfortable. The FLIX design is neat as well, but not as simple as a quick flick of the wrist. You have to make sure your hand hits one of the buttons when you flick otherwise you'll be a flicking fool.
Still, it's easy to read and looks good. The band is comfortable as well, but sometimes the extra velcro makes it hard to cinch up. There definitely could have been a better design concept to the band itself, but that's the only complaint.
