Good shoe Jan 07, 2010 I have a somewhat high arch and wide toe box, and I always use ASICS shoes. This one was great - I have had it for a year and am now looking to buy another pair of these or a similar one in the line. They offer good support for my light jogging and gym needs.
Excellent running shoe Dec 16, 2009 The Asics Gel 1130 has been a great shoe so far. For running and exercise it provides the stability and more importantly cushion I need. 2 years ago I fractured my foot so I am very careful about what kind of cushion and support I select in a shoe especially for running which has the highest impact on my feet. So far- very happy!
Meh. Aug 31, 2009 Definitely do not buy these shoes if you have anything other than a perfect stride. Or if you plan to run more than 5 miles a week. Unlike my previous experience with the otherwise excellent Asics brand (I eventually replaced these with a different Asics model that better fit my stride and that I am very happy with), these seemed cheap and underbuilt. My knees started hurting almost immediately after switching to these (shoes not suited for very mild pronation), and the eyelets started ripping out within the first three weeks(shoes cheaply built). These would probably be fine as light-duty walking shoes, or shoes for the gym, but I can't recommend them for outdoor running.

Great comfy everyday shoe, not a good runner Jul 04, 2009 I bought these shoes for a combination of training, activities at the gym, and low distance running a few times a week. I have had them for about a year, and they have done great for everyday use like exercising at the gym, walking, or hiking small trails. I recently started running in them a couple of times each week and only made it a total distance of about 2 miles before the shoes really started to get to me. They do have good arch support, but for my foot and running style, I do not think these shoes are the best. I needed something with far more cushioning in the rear of the shoe and that was better suited for a mild under pronator.

Great response & perfect condition Jun 04, 2009 I received the Asics running shoes within a few days, and they came in brand new condition (as expected). I could never go back to another brand of running shoe - these are by far the most supportive and cushioned shoes I've ever owned. The size is dead on, too.
